Frio River Cabins

Cabin #7

secluded ranch with cozy cabin

Featured in Texas Monthly Magazine:
“Of the thousands of lodging options in the Hill Country, only a fraction are outstanding. What a relief, then, to discover Cabin #7. Tucked away in a thicket of huge oaks in a remote corner of nature-friendly acres. If you’ve come here for the river, you won’t be disappointed. A short path leads from the porch down a slope to one of the most idyllic, private spots on the Frio that I’ve ever seen.

Cabin 7 Sits alone on 60 acres of Texas Hill County.
Over ½ mile of crystal-clear Frio River frontage flows through the ranch.

This cabin was absolutely perfect for an unplugged few days. Close to Garner and a reasonable distance from Lost Maples, this was a great base for hitting the state parks and returning to good beds and warm fires. The kitchen had just what we needed for knocking together some meals. The river was so close and there was plenty of space and quiet. Truly beautiful. The kids want to go back every year. Only suggestion would be to offer a self check-in. The office is hard to find at night.

This cabin was so perfect. The location is amazing and was everything we were looking for! It’s secluded and quiet. It has private access to the river. It had everything you could ask for…Picnic tables, fire pit, grill, places to ride our bikes, hike & swim all on one property. The cabin itself was clean and comfortable. Plenty of room to prepare food for grilling out every day! This was the perfect vacation getaway and we can’t wait to go back again!! Don’t forget a lighter for camp fires. We had to drive all the way to Leakey to find one.
